Reason why I joined TIP: As a current employee of the Stockholm University Student Union focusing on the international section of the student body I have grown in to the feeling that international students are put aside when it comes to student governance and politics. As the party ombudsman of TIP I hope that, together with the rest of the TIP crew, we can make a big influence on how things are done here at Stockholm University and ultimately it will make for a more cosmopolitan environment on a vivid campus with students actively participating in union matters regarding issues the students feel are important.

Reason why I joined TIP: Having been at Stockholm University for almost two years, it has increasingly become my impression that the SUS is not always working with the students' best interest in mind. This is something that needs to change, and creating a new party far removed from the old boys' club in Nobelhuset just seemed like the right thing to do.

Reason why I joined TIP: I became part of TIP because finally there was an initiative to start adressing the gap between Swedes and Internationals at Stockholm University. Reason why I joined TIP: Being half-Swedish, half-Canadian has highlighted the information gap that exists on campus between international and Swedish students. This and my environmental background has motivated me to become involved with TIP, to create a more socially inclusive and environmentally sustainable campus. To me, TIP is not 'political.' Rather we are a group of students who have identified what we believe are key issues that need to be addressed in order to create a more fun, inclusive and responsible campus and student community.

Reason why I joined TIP: Ability to influence the current situation is essential to every student, but sometimes people don't take advantages of liberties and opportunities that they have. Studying in Sweden showed me how many benefits can cooperation between students bring to us all. Nevertheless, there is still problems in integration of foreigners into this cooperation. The obstacles which rise on the way of this movement should be treated on students government level. As a foreign student I have met this problems personally and I want to cope with them, to prevent others of meeting them on their way to successful integration into the students life.

Reason why I joined TIP: Even if I'm only staying for one semester here in Stockholm, I think its always important to get involved, to be a part of whats going on on campus, to help developping Stockholm University futher and to make a change. With TIP I found the best way to realize this project. International Students are a big group which shouldnt be left out by language barrages or hidden student politics. Reason why I joined TIP: Being an international free mover myself I met numerous difficulties and challenges while trying to establish my academic and social life in Sweden. While I wished for someone to give me some guidance at that time, I feel that by joining TIP I may actually help and provide international students with what I was missing.
